When bad clothes happen to good people...

Well here I am ... now an official 'blogger'. This past-time, as some would call it, is something that I should have started doing years ago. There are many instances in my life where I see something, or look at something and simply wonder - WHY? Hopefully blogging will allow me to vent, and at the same time allow me to hear your thoughts on those situations that I consider important enough to talk about.

I had the pleasure of going skiing this weekend with my girlfriend Josie. Now, in this day in age, pretty much anything goes with regards to the style that people wish to dress themselves. We have gone back to GIGANTIC sunglasses, torn jeans, mullets, and vintage clothing to name a few. However, sometimes people go out and try to dress cool but it just doesn't work. Take Josie for instance, she thought it would be cool to wear a one piece, sleeveless ski suit while skiing with me. I didn't have the courage to tell her that it really was not cool, or in style, even for the 21st century.

I also wonder when I see others skiing with one-piece, or flourescent ski suits, “Why doesn’t someone tell them that they should not wear that!?” Take, for example, jeans and skiing – there is no rhyme or reason for this. When I saw a girl wearing Seven® jeans I just shook my head and hoped (not in mean way) that her jeans would freeze after the number of times she fell in the snow. To top it off, this young lady put her jeans OVER TOP OF her ski boots; they must have been bell bottom cut.

We have a saying for these types of people … YETTIES! These are the also the same folks who you frequently see having yard sales on the ski hills. Please note, for you non-skiers, a yard sale is when you fall and basically lose your hat and goggles, skiis, and poles while falling down the hill.

So, moral of the story, either tell your friends if they are not dressed appropriately, or let them wear the gear then comment on it in your blog!

P.S. Josie did not actually wear the outfit, it was what she was wearing to help me clear the snow off the roof - she did a great job assisting me!

If it wasn't for that little "p.s" comment at the end of your entry, you would have been in big trouble. I may not be the coolest kid in town but I know not to wear something like that in 2007.

Welcome to blogging Davey!

I saw Josie wearing that same outfit last weekend at the grocery store. Please stop covering up for her.

very nice first entry! You forgot to mention NHL hockey jackets, rear entry boots, and poles straps not being used to help define a Yettie! I don't see Heather and my blogs added to your "blogs that inspire" hmmm ???
